Sounkyo Onsen Canyon Fire Festival
Date: August 1st, 2018 (main event) . August 2nd to 15th, 2018 (fireworks)
Location: Kimikawa, which is 2 hours away from Sapporo
Details: For the main festival and event that happens on August 1st, you will be able to take a glimpse into traditional Ainu culture and celebrations! The event runs through the afternoon and consists of Ainu traditional dances, drumming performances and food stalls! To cap off the night you will be treated to a spectacular fireworks show. Launching of the fireworks happens at 9:00pm.
If you miss the main event and still want to enjoy fireworks there are displays every night from August 2nd to 15th at 8:30pm!
