Bankei Festival

Dates: August 4th and 5th, 2018

Time: August 4th from 12:00pm to 9:00pm .   August 5th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Location: Bankei Ski Area, which is 30 minutes outside of Sapporo.

Details: The Bankei Festival is a two day event which tailors to both adults and children, making it an ideal outing for anyone!

The two days are separated by activities and seem to be tailored to different age groups. August 4th is more directed to adults, in which the music festival and fireworks take main stage. There will be 4,000 fireworks launched during a 30 minute display! The music festival will have artists from many different genres, including Natsuki, K-Band, Soul Power Memorial Band and The Kippers.

Whereas August 5th is full of fun and activities for children, including games, crafts, sporting activities and a petting zoo.

During both days there will also be many classic festival food stalls, game stalls, and a farmer’s market where you can pick up some local produce.

Schedule: August 4th: 12:00pm-9:00pm is the Bankei Music Festival. 7:30pm-8:00pm is the fireworks show.

August 5th: 10:00am-5:00pm is the children’s activities including Segway tours, mountain biking, craft making, tree-top ropes course, petting zoo, watermelon smashing, and a special dinosaur exhibit!

Tickets: Advanced tickets are 2,000 yen each day. Tickets sold at venue on the same day are 2,500 yen for each day.
